The International Tag Federation (ITF) has made the decision to take the 2018 Tag World Cup to Coffs Harbour. The announcement was made yesterday at C.ex International Stadium, Coffs Harbour by ITF Chairman and South African Tag Rugby Director, Stuart McConnell.

“The decision was unanimous, and we had to play where champions play”.

2018 Tag World Cup will be the biggest yet with growth throughout the sport in South Africa, Ireland, Japan, UK and the addition of new countries such as Hong Kong. The 2015 Tag World Cup had 168 teams and it is expected that in 2018 over 190 teams will make the journey from around the world to compete. This will bring a boost to the local economy with over 5000 players, officials and family members coming to Coffs Harbour.
